Experience

Ivana Jeremic is an investigative reporter and fact-checker based in Belgrade. She has been working at Center for Investigative Journalism of Serbia (CINS) since 2012 and was promoted to Deputy Editor-in-Chief in 2017. Since 2012 she has worked on domestic and international investigative projects covering connections between politics, football and criminal, private security, money laundering, privatization issues, manipulations in public procurements etc. She worked as a fact-checker on the Panama Papers project as an associate at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). Since 2017 she is engaged as an external assessor for the International Fact-checking Network. She is also lecturing fact-checking and advanced research of social networks. For her own, and the work of CINS she has been awarded European Press Prize, Anthony Lewis Prize, Balkan Fact-Checking Award and others. Other than that, she is interested in art, debate, freedom of speech and speaks English and Spanish.
