Please answer the following questions – (see notes in Guidelines for Application on how to answer)

 1. When and why was your fact-checking operation started?
 2. How many people work or volunteer in the organization and what are their roles?
 3. What different activities does your organization carry out?
 4. What are the goals of your fact-checking operation over the coming year?

Patikrinta 15min

1. 'Patikrinta 15min' was set up in 2016.

2. Currently there are 1 editor that is doing fact-checks and another full-time journalist will start working from January 2021. Every '15min' journalist is free to join 'Patikrinta 15min' after a training.

3. 'Patikrinta 15min' is the first fact-checking project in Baltic States. At the beginning our goal was to fact-check claims of politicians, in 2017 we added a Government's promise tracker, in 2018 created a new section '15min Primena", which is dedicated to remind promises and track opinion changes. Moreover as Facebook Third Party Fact Checkers Programme partners from 2018 we are debunking hoaxes found in social network. However only the articles in which we are factchecking claims are labeled with badge 'Patikrinta 15min' and goes with a truth-o-meter and form to suggest a claim for fact-checking.

4. As the demand for fact-checks is growing even more, we will enlarge our team to do more fact-checking. We will renew Government's promise tracker and are planning to publish more in-depth articles about the people and organizations that spread misinformation, explaining how they are working.

When we are correcting an article we put a new information and add a red line that the article was corrected. In the past year we haven't got grounded complains.
